M/S Bulbul Enterprise is a Dhaka-based specialist in basement and foundation construction, led by proprietor Md. Bulbul Ahmed. We take on every stage below ground for the country's premier developers, hotels, hospitals, universities, banks and industrial groups.
Our story
Founded in 1983, the company has worked continuously for more than four decades and completed more than 500 projects. Our earliest surviving work order, from 1998, is for Borak Real Estate; a quarter of a century later the same group entrusted us with Unique Acropolis, home of Hotel Taj & Vivanta, and the eight-level basement of Unique South Park.
How we work
Every project runs under a formal letter of award or work order and is built to the approved design, under the direction of the client's engineer. We plan piling, shoring and excavation as one sequence, so each stage makes way for the next and the site never waits.

The man who built the company
Md. Bulbul Ahmed founded M/S Bulbul Enterprise in 1983 and leads it today as its proprietor. He directs every project himself, from award to handover, so each client deals with one point of responsibility.

Borak Real Estate, Gulshan: the start of a relationship that leads to Unique Acropolis, Hotel Taj & Vivanta and Unique South Park.

First Shanta project
SPL Digonta, Paribag: the first of 22 Shanta projects, including The Pinnacle Tower and The Vantage.
- 2010–12
Deep basements become routine
Excavations to 32 ft across Gulshan, Banani, Bashundhara and Dhanmondi for Navana, Britannia, Bay Developments and Space Zero.

Unique Hotel & Resorts
A decade of structural steel, shoring and crane works begins for the owners of The Westin Dhaka.
- 2016–17
Campus and headquarters
AIUB's permanent campus at Kuril and the Square Toiletries headquarters in Uttara, built over three basements.

Agrani Bank Bhaban-2
Vertical steel structure bracing through 22 floors of the state-owned bank's building in Motijheel.
- 2020
The Pinnacle Tower
Letter of award from Shanta Holdings for excavation and the complete basement shoring system in Tejgaon.
- 2023
TA Tower, Malibagh
Excavation and steel shoring for Tropical Homes, followed by Tropical Electra Tower and Tropical Hannan Tower in 2025.
- 2024
Largest award in our history
Grameen Telecom Trust's Samajik Hospital & Medical College at Diabari. Emnipur Tower excavation reaches 75 ft.
- 2026
Industry and healthcare
A complete factory substructure with 4.9 km of bored piles for Apex Fashion Wear, and the SHMCHRI utility building.
Standards on every site

Design compliance
Every job is built to the approved drawings and specifications, under the direction of the client's Engineer-in-Charge.

Testing
Pile load tests to BNBC-2020 and ASTM, with independent reporting, whenever the specification calls for them.

Personal safety
PPE for all site staff, with safety belts and helmets mandatory for work at height and in excavations.

Neighbours and public roads
Protection of adjoining structures, and daily cleaning of roads and footpaths around the site.

Spoil, mud and water
Excavated soil, bore mud and water removed and disposed of through approved routes.

Records
Work orders, joint measurements, running bills and handover records kept for every project.
